Krista Dawn Poulton | Medical Herbalist, DIP PHYT, RHT

Krista Dawn Poulton is a Medical Herbalist in Victoria, BC. She balances her private practice as a faculty member at Pacific Rim College, teaching courses in herbal medicine and medicine making, along with supervising clinical training. Her mission with her practice is to teach women to love and adore their bodies, address societal norms of body awareness, and educate ways to shift reproductive issues with the use of herbs, diet and supplements. Krista’s clinical practice focuses primarily on reproductive health from post-birth control care, fertility planning to infertility, endometriosis, fibroids and PCOS.

Course description

In this powerpoint presentation, you will solidify your cycle-tracking knowledge with in-depth case studies. This course is designed to build upon the knowledge you’ve gained from Krista’s other courses:

In this mini-course, Krista will guide you through 4 complex case studies where she used cycle charting and herbal formulas to help the patients. You will be presented with case histories, symptom presentations, herbal formulas, lifestyle recommendations and treatment results for each patient.

Lesson plan

Case 1: High Androgens
Here, Krista presents the case of a 29-year-old female suffering from cystic acne, blood sugar imbalances, irregular menstrual cycles, and excessive hair growth. Krista presents the patient’s cycle tracking charts and the corresponding herbal formulas and lifestyle recommendations
Case 2: Infertility
This female patient has had one miscarriage, and had been trying to conceive again without success for 1-year. She had very irregular cycles that needed regulation in order to conceive again! Watch Krista assess her cycle charts and provide herbal formulas and modifications to get her back on track.
Case 3: Infertility With Pregnancy
This 35-year-old female patient was suffering from infertility after a prolonged period on the birth control pill and had difficulty getting her period back after the birth of her first child. She was waitlisted for a fertility clinic before seeing Krista. Watch how the cycle charting information helps Krista find the correct formulas for her to regulate her cycle improve her fertility.
Case 4: PCOS & Fibroids
Krista presents the case of a 36-year-old female patient suffering from PCOS and a diagnosis of fibroids. Krista takes her symptoms (excessive hair growth, difficulty losing weight, severely painful menstrual cramps, heavy & long periods) and analyzes her cycle chart.
