Gillian Marsollier has been a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia since 2001, and an instructor of acupuncture for 20+ years. After completing a 4-year Masters Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, she began her teaching career in Newfoundland. There she wrote the bulk of the curriculum for a 3-year acupuncture program and served as the Acupuncture Program Director. Gillian was then transferred to Halifax, where she successfully gained approval by the Board of Education in Nova Scotia for an acupuncture program. In addition to teaching, she practiced at a very successful multi-faceted alternative treatment centre while residing on the East Coast. In 2008 Gillian went to Nepal to teach acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities at a medical facility. They are still using the modalities to this day to treat the locals from the Himalayan hills. For the last 5 years, Gillian has been pursuing the media side of acupuncture and natural healing through the creation of LIFT Education Academy. Through this online education platform, she has created many popular courses including bootcamps that have become the national gold standard for preparation for TCM registration exams.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the skin is considered a reflection of your internal health, particularly the balance of your organ systems and vital energy (qi). When internal harmony is disrupted, it often manifests as skin issues ranging from acne and eczema to premature aging an dullness. The comprehensive webinar bridges ancient TCM wisdom with dermatological skin conditions to help you understand your unique skin constitution and create a personalized dietary approach for lasting skin health.
This course covers:
1. TCM fundamentals for skin health – how the TCM organ system (especially Lungs, Large Intestine, Liver, Spleen and Kidneys), and Qi flow directly your complexion and skin function;
2. TCM pattern recognition for common skin conditions including Heat patterns (acne, rosacea, inflammatory conditions), Dampness patterns (oily skin, cystic acne, weeping eczema), Blood Statis (dark spots, poor circulation, dull complexion), Yin Deficiency (dry skin, premature aging, fine lines), and Wind patterns (itchy skin, hives, atopic dermatitis);
4. Comprehensive dietary therapy for each skin pattern – specific foods to embrace and avoid, optimal cooking methods, beneficial flavours, and meal timing strategies according to TCM principles;
4. Addressing modern inflammation and food sensitivities through a TCM lens – how compromised immune systems, from pharmaceutical use, environmental toxins, and processes food qualities create food sensitivities that manifest as skin conditions, and how this relates to TCM patterns;
5. Practical implementation tools including seasonal skin care adjustments, and simple tongue observational diagnostic techniques to assess your skin constitution;
6. Lifestyle practices for radiant skin – sleep optimization, stress management through a TCM lens, and daily habits that support long-term skin vitality from within.
“Love Gillian! Really great examples, applicable and easy to put into practice. I really liked the palpation part. We were taught to rely heavily on the asking, so it was refreshing to get a more visceral method. Really fantastic! This is my second course now and I’m looking to continue to learn more!”

“Love this information! I have learned in my 16 years of studies in skin care and holistic studies about the face and Chinese medicine, but this brings a whole new teaching to my practice and I am excited to add this special add on. The teacher was phenomenal and I normally find online courses hard to absorb but I was 110% into it.”
